They looked as if they were scuffed then repainted without a quality job. Yes, they were re-wrapped over the repair job, so it wasn't damage during shipping.The damage/repair is very noticable. We tried calling several weeks ago for a warranty exchange and Amazon told us that they had no replacements in stock! They told us to "call back later". Now we have tried to call each day and no one ever answers or returns our call to discuss warranty. So basically, you buy these at your own risk since you will NEVER get a replacement or warranty coverage as promised. Is it worth it based on the price, or should you buy local and make sure you get don't get a "2nd" rate product? You decide. As for me, I wish I would have paid a little more locally and got what I wanted. Now I'm stuck with no recourse or way to get Amazon to make it right! My only comment is that the coloring varies from the photos on the site because there are a lot more of the light metallic specks. This is really only noticable close up and the overall appearance is of a dark brown. These are quite a value.
