It's long enough to store my gardening tools inside, and it's perfect for my urban patio. I was able to put it together in about 2 hours. I'm no mechanic; someone more experienced could probably put it together much faster. The only extra tool I needed was a largish Phillip's head screwdriver. There are 2 little pieces that could be mistaken for packaging material -- be sure not to throw them away. The bench is sturdy enough for my needs. Maybe I'll caulk the inside of the bench to ensure it's waterproof. The height of the bench is 33 inches.
